Tourism Review

The busy, hot days of summer are coming to an end, but autumn in La Porte County is filled with festivals and celebrations that will be enjoyed by young and old alike. Plan to attend one or all of these festivals during the beautiful fall weather in Northwest Indiana.

Labor Dayz Festival is four days of fun, food and music. There will be entertainment for the entire family when you help celebrate the 14th Annual Labor Dayz in Michigan City's Washington Park from Friday, Sept. 4, through Monday, Sept. 7. This lakefront festival features two stages of live entertainment. There will be ethnic food along with ribs, elephant ears, hot dogs, brats, funnel cakes and ice cream from a bevy of food vendors. Hours of Labor Dayz are 5-11 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. Additional up-to-date information will be available on the Internet at www.mcsummerfest.org.
