FORT WAYNE — Some social media sites have begun requiring a selfie with a photo ID to confirm the identity of the user.

This can also be used to keep scammers from “catfishing” by stealing photos from other user’s profiles. However, in an attempt to prevent one scam – it can easily lead to another.
