Don Larsen

While playing for the New York Yankees in Game 5 of the World Series, Don Larsen pitched the only no-hitter in the history of the World Series.

The man responsible for pitching the only no-hitter in the history of the World Series originated from Michigan City.

Donald James Larsen was born in Michigan City on Aug. 7, 1929, to James H. and Charlotte Larsen. His grandparents were Norwegian immigrants.
