I don’t know about you, but with mass shootings, government shutdowns and fentanyl overdoses, I’m ready for a double shot of Jack Daniels and some serious escape.

So let’s flee to that trusty time machine and slam it into reverse. Past the ’80s and ’90s – too recent; forget the 70s – too much disco and Nixon; the ’60s? Too turbulent. Ahhhh – how about the ’50s, the dawn of the TV era and a happier time.
