Roeslein donates gear to A.K. Smith Welding program

Roeslein & Associates recently made a donation of 50 hoods, 50 pairs of gloves, and 50 jackets to the A.K. Smith Career Center Welding program. In front, from left, are Ken Tinzie, welding instructor; Delincia Smith, director of La Porte County Career and Technical Education; Alex Strelinski, operations manager for Roeslein; and Ashley Verzal, human resources for Roeslein. In back are welding students donned in the new gear. The company, relatively new to the area, wanted to give back to the community, and support A.K. Smith in teaching students in the trades. Roeslein & Associates specializes in conveyor systems for the aluminum and steel manufacturing industry, and Strelinski said he hopes to offer tours to students in the future.
