MICHIGAN CITY — The Center of Workforce Innovations, in partnership with the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction and Mental Health America of Indiana, are combining forces to offer training and certification to residents of Northwest Indiana interested in becoming certified peer recovery specialists.

The five-day training course, or CCAR Recovery Coach Academy, is Nov. 14 through 18 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily at Angela’s House, 412 W. 10th St. in Michigan City. Lunch and refreshments will be provided each day; and transportation and childcare assistance are available.
