MICHIGAN CITY — Just in time for the annual holiday concerts, a group of volunteers with no fear of heights has completed a major renovation on a Michigan City church’s nearly century-old chimes.

Thanks to the community volunteers’ efforts, the bells of Christmas will again ring out over the Uptown Arts District on Christmas Eve at 3 p.m. and on Christmas Day at noon.
