The Roosevelt Pipe Organ Concert Series will return Wednesday with the recital of organist Mark Sudeith at Christ Church, 531 Washington, Michigan City. Seating will be at noon, and music will last from 12:15 to 1 p.m. Sudeith recently performed in the “Brandenburg Concerto No. 5” of Bach and the “Variations on a Nursery Song” of Dohnanyi with the Northwest Chicago Symphony Orchestra and has performed at the national convention of the Organ Historical Society. He holds a master’s of music in organ performance from the University of Minnesota and a doctorate of music in piano performance from Indiana University. He retired in 2020 from the position of interim associate provost at Chicago State University, where he joined the music faculty in 1984. There is no admission fee to Wednesday’s performance, but donations for organ maintenance will be accepted.
