Ester Golden and Bill Halliar are co-chairs of the seventh annual Student Juried Showcase of Poetry, and invites Northwest Indiana students in grades one through 12 to submit their entries by March 31.

La PORTE — April is for creatives, according to the Center for Creative Solutions. Throughout the month, Northwest Indiana will celebrate both World Creativity & Innovation Week, April 15-21, and National Poetry Month.

For starters, the CCS invites poets to share their work in the seventh annual “Student Juried Showcase of Poetry.” According to the Center, the event shines a light on young writers from Northwest Indiana in grades one through 12.
