The Chicago area-based Lauren Dukes Band will headline Arts in the Park at 7 p.m. Thursday at Fox Park in La Porte, following a preconcert performance by local dance school Works in Motion Dance Company at 6 p.m. The Lauren Dukes Band combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk and jazz. Local photographer Nancy Addie is Thursday’s featured artist in the Wolf Plaza Art Pavilion, showing her award-winning sunset and lakeside photos. AiP’s weekly food drive will be accepting nonperishable food items for St. Joseph Catholic Church. Food vendors include Digzy Dogz, Fauson’s Ice-cream, Taco’s My Fren, and Evvy’s Coffeehouse, along with treats at the concessions building. KidsArt will be back with bird paintings and bird feeder assembling, and Bethany Lutheran will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a 1951 Studebaker, which will be on site, at a drawing on July 1 during Red Wine & Brew. Proceeds will go to first responders and tickets are $20 or 3 for $50.
