Footlight Players to perform ‘The Sound of Music’
For the first three weeks of June, Footlight Players will bring “The Sound of Music” to Michigan City. Adrianna LeDonne stars as Maria, the new governess of the seven Von Trapp children, including Alianna Simpson, left, and Addy Johnson, right, as Brigitta and Gretl. Captain Von Trapp, played by Noel Carlson, butts heads almost immediately over how to teach and raise them. The show, and all its hit songs by Rodgers and Hammerstein, including “Climb Every Mountain,” “I Am Sixteen Going On Seventeen” and “My Favorite Things,” will be performed at the Footlight Theatre at 1705 Franklin St. Tickets are $15, or $10 for kids 12 and under. Reservations can be made by calling the box office at 219-874-4035 or online at footlightplayers.org.
