Harbor Country Hikers plan outing at Bluhm County Park

The Harbor Country Hikers’ next hike will be at Bluhm County Park on Saturday, July 16, at 9 a.m. (CT). Bluhm County Park is in Westville on CR-1100W and is part of the La Porte County park system. It consists of 96 acres with eight miles of multiple-use trails. Hike leader Pat Fisher will give a brief talk on how to read clouds before the 1.9-mile walk along the park trails. The hike is expected to take around two hours, and is rated easy. The group advises members and guests to wear long pants (preferably tucked in), a sun hat, sturdy shoes or boots and insect repellent, and to bring plenty of water.
