Help send off Veterans Awareness Riders on trip

The Westville Area Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to join its motorcycle friends, The Wall Gang, and the members of the National Veterans Awareness Ride as they begin their 18th journey to Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, May 24. They will start at the American Legion on U.S. 20 in Michigan City at 8 a.m., then ride south on U.S. 421. Residents are invited to line the street with American flags and give the riders a grateful send-off. The Wall Gang is a non-profit veterans support organization that aims to offer assistance and support to veterans through various means, and educate the community to ensure all vets are shown the honor and respect they deserve, the Chamber said in a statement. The NVAO began in 2005 as a not-for-profit dedicated to honoring all veterans.
