LP’s Makenna Micallef wins ISA scholarship
The Indiana Sheriffs’ Association and La Porte County Sheriff’s Office have announced that, for the second consecutive year, La Porte County student Makenna Micallef has been awarded a scholarship from the ISA. She was recognized Thursday by Sheriff Ron Heeg during the May Merit Board meeting. Micallef is a 2022 graduate of La Porte High School, and a sophomore at Indiana University-Bloomington majoring in criminal justice. The LCSO’s Afternoon Patrol Shift Deputies David Grimberg and Jacob Payne are both prior recipients of the same scholarship.
