Michigan City High School senior alto Makalinn Jenks and junior soprano Brooklynn Wade will compete in the Indiana All-State Honor Choir this weekend. They will perform in Fort Wayne at the Indiana Music Educator’s Conference on Jan. 13 and 14, joining 150 other choral students from across the state. Wade and Jenks both auditioned by preparing a piece of music to sing in front of a judge, and performing various musical excerpts by sight to be selected for the prestigious choir.
