Marquette Catholic High School senior Lukas Balling has a busy last semester between academics, the basketball court, planning for college and an internship at Midwest Metal Products.

According to a statement from Marquette Catholic High School, it triggered an elongated pause from the teacher as Balling, a senior with a 3.931 GPA and solid attendance record, was nowhere to be found. The 6-foot-5-inch senior hadn’t gone AWOL on the basketball court yet, and the classroom had been no different.
