MICHIGAN CITY – A judge had no sympathy Thursday for a former paramedic convicted of killing two people in a drunk driving crash on Oct. 6, 2017, sentencing him to 11 years in prison.

He was also furious in his condemnation of three La Porte Police officers who spoke with the suspect about 90 minutes prior to the crash, but did nothing. He called their non-action "shameful and embarrassing."
