Q: What happens if you arrest a person and they have a pet in their car?

A: It depends on the circumstances of the arrest. If there is someone else in the car that can take control of the animal, then that would be the first choice. The second choice would be calling a family member to pick up the pet. Lastly, without any other choice, we would contact our Animal Control officer who would then house the animal at our city Kennel.
