La PORTE — Three members of a La Porte family are facing charges in connection with a fatal crash in March, one with leaving the scene, and his brother and sister with trying to cover up evidence of the crime, according to authorities.

The White County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office, arrested the three last month in connection with a March 19 crash that left 54-year-old John J. Chomer Sr. of Lafayette dead in White County.
