La PORTE — La Porte schools are preparing for what will essentially be a second opening day of school when another wave of students resumes in-person instruction later this month.

During Monday’s La Porte Community School Corporation board meeting, assistant superintendents Ben Tonagel and Jane Larson shared figures on the number of K-8 students who will be transitioning from remote to physical instruction when the second 9 weeks of the fall semester begin Oct. 26.
