MICHIGAN CITY — Michigan City’s municipal budget for 2021 was cut by approximately $110,000 last week, and could be reduced by another $700,000 at the Common Council’s Oct. 20 meeting.

The council voted to eliminate paid secretary positions for the Michigan City Police Commission, Fire Commission, Tree Board and Historic Review Board.
