La PORTE — Though National Fire Prevention Week takes place next month, there’s never a bad time to make sure you and your loved ones are prepared for disaster.

On Monday, La Porte Fire Chief Andy Snyder shared some advice on preparing yourself and your home for a fire emergency during a presentation to the Rotary Club of La Porte. He also answered questions, including those related to the recent opening of the new Fire Station No. 3 on Daytona Street.
