Three high-performance Dodge Challenger Hellcats were stolen from an auto dealership in La Porte early Saturday, and were later spotted on I-94 at speeds of more than 150 mph, according to Indiana State Police. One of the cars was recovered when it ran out of gas in Gary.

La PORTE — Three high-performance vehicles were stolen from a La Porte auto dealership early Saturday, and the suspects fled the area on I-94, reaching speeds of up to 150 mph, according to authorities.

La Porte Police Chief Paul Brettin said such vehicle are being targeted by thieves across the area in recent months.
