VALPARAISO — A wanted New Carlisle man is facing multiple charges after leading police on a high-speed pursuit through Porter County, before fleeing on foot and being arrested with his girlfriend in Lake County, according to authorities.

Timothy Daniel Applegate, 39, was charged with resisting law enforcement with a vehicle as a Level 6 felony; driving while suspended as a Class A misdemeanor; and reckless driving, a Class C misdemeanor, according to the Porter County Sheriff’s Office.
