MICHIGAN CITY — Once again, the Michigan City Common Council found itself mulling over whether to lease 10 new vehicles for the Michigan City Police Department during their meeting Tuesday night.

At Councilman Paul Przybylinski’s suggestion that the city buy three new cars for the department this year and another three next year, Police Chief Dion Campbell said, “The Michigan City Police Department is in dire straits right now.
