MICHIGAN CITY — Both the East and West sides of Michigan City are designated food deserts, where access to healthy food is limited or lacking, but a collaboration of community groups is looking for ways to change that.

The Economic Development Corporation Michigan City has partnered with Purdue Extension to find ways to tackle the problem of food scarcity.
