Knox man charged with dealing controlled substance

A Knox man was arrested Monday and charged with dealing a controlled substance following a traffic stop in Starke County. Around 10 a.m., Trooper Korinne Reinke stopped a maroon 2015 GMC pickup for a moving violation on CR-200S near the intersection with CR-500E, according to Indiana State Police. During the course of the traffic stop it was discovered the driver, 46-year-old Michael Minix, had an active warrant out of Marshall County for dealing a controlled substance. Police also found Minix 30 tubes marked Testim and 30 tubes marked Testosterone Gel 1 percent – both considered Schedule III controlled substances – in the truck, along with a large amount of cash. Minix was arrested on a preliminary charge of dealing in a controlled substance as well as for the active warrant. He was taken to the Marshall County Jail.
