Indiana State Police say no injuries were reported in a three-vehicle crash and fire that left eastbound I-94 closed for more than three hours Wednesday in Michigan City. The crash, which involved a semi truck and two passenger vehicles, occurred about 10 a.m. on I-94 at the U.S. 20 / U.S. 35 exit in Michigan City. ISP said the cause of the crash, and what caused the semi to catch fire, was unclear as of Wednesday afternoon, but no patient transports were reported. INDOT reported that all eastbound lanes of I-94 were closed for more than three hours for cleanup, though the fire was extinguished by about 10:20 a.m. Area fire departments, EMS, ISP, Hoosier Helpers and other INDOT personnel responded to the scene.
