Remember when

This portrait was taken outside of Bryson School, a rural one-room schoolhouse at U.S. 421 and CR-300S in New Durham Township, in 1900. Esther V. Anderson was the teacher at the time. It seems that even in 1900 it was impossible to get a photo with everyone looking at the camera!
