Remember When

The Sheridan Beach Hotel restaurant was decorated in a modern, Art Nouveau style. Besides the restaurant, the hotel boasted 51 guest rooms and stood at the corner of Lake Shore Drive and Lake Avenue. It did a brisk business and had numerous year-round residents. The hotel opened to the public on June 28, 1920, and was destroyed by fire in September 1956.
