Wilson promoted to lieutenant at State Prison
Indiana State Prison Warden Ron Neal, right, has announced the appointment of Charles Wilson to Correctional Lieutenant. Wilson began his career with the Indiana Department of Correction in December 2008 as a medical assistant and transitioned to Correctional Officer in August 2009. He became a Field Training Officer in 2011 and has completed additional training, including Basic Supervisory, IDOC Supervisory, Firearms, Quick Response Team and the IDOC E-Squad / ERO Academy courses. Wilson has been an active member of E-Squad for over a decade. In his spare time, he enjoys darts, visiting museums, and spending time with his children. “Charles has demonstrated that he will be a great addition to the supervisory ranks at ISP due to his experiences in the Facility Training Department, as well as Emergency Response Operations,” Neal said. “I believe that he will bring some newfound knowledge back to the Custody Ranks.”
