La PORTE — City officials have given the nod to an agreement that lays the foundation for a collegiate summer baseball franchise to come to La Porte.
“We’ve got a lot of work to do, but this sets the stage forward. It’s something for our community residents who I think have always supported baseball,” Mayor Tom Dermody said.
