Painting, spinning, plowing and more at museum’s Artisan Fair
“Last of the Sunflowers” by Sandi Terry is one of the works for the La Porte County Historical Society Museum’s second Artisan Fair on Sunday, April 10. From 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., more than 20 artisans will be at the Museum selling their pieces. Admission will be free of charge and the Pioneer Land Spinners will also be back, selling items made from their spun fibers, along with several illustrators and painters, including the Land of the Lakes Art Alliance and Michigan City Art League. Beth Zimmerman will be painting a landscape scene live. Artisans will offer garden decor, vintage bird feeders, jewelry, ceramics, chocolates, succulents, wreaths, pewter art, and more. The La Porte County Draft Horse Association will also be hosting their annual Plow Day in the field between the Museum and the Door Prairie barn.
