Snow and cold returns to help La Porte WinterFest live up to its name
An ice carver creates an elephant at Plaza 618 during La Porte’s WinterFest on Friday. Ice sculpturing demonstrations, sponsored by NIPSCO and City’s Pure Ice, kicked off the La Porte City Park Department’s annual three-day event. Activities included snowball softball, a glow-in-the-dark scavenger hunt, gymnastics for children, horse-drawn wagon rides and more.
