Riley's top spellers compete
Thomas, a student in Tamara Pinkerton’s third grade classroom, won the bee after nearly 45 minutes of competition, clinching her win by correctly spelling “earthquake.” She will move on to compete in the 2020 La Porte County Spelling Bee, which will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at South Central.
