Ott sign

Ryin Ott, front row, center, signed her national letter of intent Wednesday to play basketball for Purdue Fort Wayne, where her sister Riley is a sophomore. She is accompanied by her parents, front row, Al and Jami Ott; and the La Porte coaching staff, back row, from left, JV coach Christian Porter, varsity assistant Bill Drook, freshman coach Karson Williams and varsity coach Sarah DeShone.

La PORTE – People sign their names thousands of times over the course of their lifetimes, many for non-descript reasons, others for significant moments.

Wednesday was one of those memorable occasions for high school athletes like La Porte’s Ryin Ott who inked their national letters of intent to continue their playing careers in college.
