PORTAGE -- For over two quarters Friday, La Porte was showing all the symptoms of an emotional hangover.

A week after the high of its overtime win over rival Michigan City, it fell flat against two-win Portage, trailing the Indians 28-7 in the third quarter of a Duneland Athletic Conference game that honestly could've been even more one-sided.
