WESTVILLE – If it’s true that the court is the best teacher, it bodes well for Westville.

“Last year, we had no guys who could really turn back on varsity experience, a frame of reference,” Blackhawks coach Drew Eubank said. “We had a whole new group. We started from scratch offensively. When you’re starting two freshmen, making that big of a jump, there’s so much you have to catch up on, it’s harder to have consistent effort day to day. Right off the bat, we have seven guys who were a part of a varsity team, who scored a bunch of points, got a bunch of rebounds. They have games that complement each other. With four (regulars) back, we’re hoping to take another big step.”
