Marquette's Galindo signs with Bethel

Marquette Catholic senior Izabel Galindo has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Bethel University.

Galindo, a 5-foot-9 guard-forward, averaged 6.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game this season, highlighted by a career-high 20 points on Jan. 6 against Calumet. She totaled 209 points, 172 rebounds and 53 assists as a over two varsity seasons as a Blazer.

The signing marks the fourth consecutive year that Marquette has had a girls basketball player pursue a playing career at the collegiate level. Galindo extends a string that includes Mackenzie Marovich (Centre College, 2018), Emma and Sophia Nolan (St. John’s, 2019), Emmery Joseph (Baker University, 2019) and Ally McConnell (Indiana-Northwest, 2020).

Located in Mishawaka, Bethel is an NAIA institution that competes in the Crossroads League.
