LaCrosse 42, Pioneer 38: The Tigers (3-3) shook off a two-point first quarter with a 12-4 advantage in the second and held off the Pioneers for the win Tuesday. Ben Garwood put up 16 points to go with 10 rebounds and three steals. Kyle Gorski handed out seven assists and nabbed five boards. “It was another solid defensive effort,” Tigers coach Rick Snodgrass said. “We did a good job of executing the offense in the fourth quarter. It was a good team effort coming off a tough loss to Hebron and a great way to end the 2021 portion of our schedule. Another positive of the night was our junior varsity team won their first game in two years.”
