La PORTE – As he slowly made his way around the offensive line group at New Prairie’s practice Monday, his leg in a brace for the reconstructive knee surgery he had earlier in the season, Mike McLaughlin smiled and interacted with his teammates.

“I got off my crutches this week,” he said. “I’m walking a little better, going to physical therapy.”
